Yarragon Arts Council Inc.
The purpose of the Yarragon Arts Council (YAC) is to create music in our community of West Gippsland. We organise community events and we combine the highest quality (performing) arts, food and wine in Gippsland. We present events that cater to our local audience and attract attendees to our region. From a basis in world class classical chamber music, we embrace all cultural pursuits. Creative. Epicurean. Baccanalian.
YAC was incorporated in July 2024, by Dr Christina Flann, Niels Bijl, William Downie and Rachel Needoba. The YAC facilitate several community music and arts initiatives, such as concerts and festivals through Yarragon Studio, community music and music education through the West Gippsland Concert Band and inclusive drama, music and arts sessions for all, including neurodiverse and disability.
