Melbourne Strings Quartet
Established in 2022, Melbourne Strings comprises Melbourne's top classical string players, including leading professionals and talented emerging artists. MS celebrates the virtuosity and diversity of music for strings in original and engaging orchestral and chamber music concerts.

Ioana Tache has been playing in the Australian classical music industry since 2013 in various orchestras and chamber music ensembles, including the Australian String Quartet, the Affinity Quartet, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria and the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra (MCO). Ioana has performed as soloist with the Sydney Symphony and Queensland Symphony Orchestras, and with the MCO. She studied at ANAM with Bill Hennessy. The string quartet is Ioana's most natural medium for music making and the one she is most passionate about. She is delighted to be performing at the Winter Feast Festival in Yarragon for her first public concert after having her baby daughter.
Molly Kadarauch is one of Australia’s preeminent and versatile cellists and has played concerts at leading venues around the world as well as within Australia as a chamber musician and soloist. She is a founding member of Sutherland Trio who have performed at the Melbourne Recital Centre, Governor’s Performance Series, toured with Musica Viva and recorded for ABC classics. Previously she was associate principal cellist with the Australian Chamber Orchestra between 1996-2004. Molly also teaches at many institutions including the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
Ceridwen Davies is a Melbourne-based violist with an active freelance career. She has performed with major Australian orchestras, toured internationally with the MSO and ACO, and worked with Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa in Japan. Passionate about chamber music, she’s played with groups like Silo Quartet and BOLT ensemble. She has toured with Archie Roach and Black Arm Band, and recorded for film scores. Ceridwen also enjoys performing in major musical theatre productions, including Les Misérables and Phantom of the Opera.
