Ronan Apcar
piano recital
Sunday 24 March, 3PM
Ronan Apcar is a pianist and composer who’s quickly building a reputation of versatility, edge, and youthful tenacity. He is currently studying with Timothy Young at the prestigious Australian National Academy of music, and he was recently nominated for the Freedman Fellowship. Described by Limelight Magazine as “A talent beyond his age”, he promises to bring a versatile program to Yarragon Studio, ranging from Busoni/Bach and Brad Mehldau to Dulcie Holland, combined with some of his own music for piano solo. He has also promised to finish the concert with a rare arrangement of an Irish classic, Danny Boy. You can imagine we can’t wait to hear him, I strongly believe that Ronan will be part of a cohort that will reshape performing arts in Australia and abroad in the years to come!
